Job Description:
You will act as a Test Equipment Engineer, delivering comprehensive engineering support for the Spearfish test equipment used within the UK. With this role you will report into the Spearfish test equipment team leader. Daily activities to include maintaining high levels of equipment availability. Also improving and designing new test equipment while working collaboratively as part of the Spearfish Test Equipment Team and contributing to the wider Spearfish In-Service Support Group.
Core Duties:
- Diagnosing a wide range of complex Special to Type Test Equipment to component level where applicable with limited technical support
- Influence and deliver design obsolescence tasks, implementing new electrical hardware at Broad Oak and customer locations where required
- Lead and perform a range of development activities including producing design schemes, circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, design documentation, specification and other test process tasks
- Compile and approve Engineering Designs, Changes, Tasks and Concession actions
- Responsibility and ownership of a selection of in-service support and test equipment
- Be involved in the Design and Safety of the Spearfish Torpedo Test Equipment, ensuring that work is undertaken in conformance with Company, Project, National and International Standards and procedures
Essential Skills:
- You’ll be qualified in a relevant Engineering or closely related discipline to HNC/HND/Degree level
- You’ll have a test equipment/hardware design or calibration and maintenance background
- You’ll have experience within repair and investigation of test equipment
- You’ll have an understanding and creation of drawings and circuit diagrams
The Spearfish Test Equipment Team:
You will work alongside an experienced team of 10 hardware and software engineers. Who report into will report to the Spearfish Test Equipment Team Leader who reports into the TRAM Engineering Manager.
