Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: From £38,734 per annum

What you’ll be doing: 

• Delivering accurate and consistent project reporting information to meet the needs of the project team and finance management within the required timescales
• Working with the internal and external stakeholders including the MOD, Project and Commercial teams, Supply Chain teams and Central Finance on a regular basis
• Responsibility for preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial forecasts
• Providing support from a financial perspective for contract management, negotiations, and amendments

Your skills and experiences: 

Essential

• Previous finance/accounting experience, ideally from a business partnering perspective
• IT Literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages (Excel)
• Data analysis and presentation skills

Desirable

• Finance qualification (part or fully qualified) – ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar
• Previous project management / Life Cycle Management

The Submarines Project Accounting team: 

Joining the Submarines Project Accounting Centre provides the opportunity to work across the Dreadnought, Astute and Integrated Combat Systems programme areas in support of your career development. This exciting finance role provides the opportunity to manage various financial aspects of the programmes, with the aim that you experience all core project accounting roles and processes. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
