Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Team Management :

 

        Mentor and develop RSAF and other CMS counterparts within their area of

        responsility as assigned by the OPS Team Leader.

        Manage and formulate training packages for RSAF and CMS counterparts

        producing performance reports for key stakeholders.

        A high level of skills to prioritise tasks & report discrepancies; and manage

        resources and production planning.

 

Operations Support

 

 

        Responsible for the smooth running of the Squadron Operations room and

  • surrounding environment.

        Support to the RSAF upto and including:

  • In the absence of the Operations Support & Flying Program Coordinator,
  • they are responsible for the day to day running of the Operations Room,
  • ensuring that all tasks are successfully carried out.
  • To carry out the correct Opening/ Closing routine thoroughly.
  • Prepare the morning Squadron and Met briefs for the Squadron Duty Officer.
  • Displaying latest airfield weather, information and serviceability codes for
  • own and diversion airfields.
  • Plotting and displaying of NOTAMS, active exercise danger areas and any
  • other activity deemed a hazard to the safety of flight.
  • To distribute the daily and weekly Flying Schedules and ensure that
  • external agencies are briefed on any changes. 
  • To liaise with the Maintenance Operations Controller to ascertain jet
  • allocation.
  • To ensure that mission sortie data is available on MPS to assist pilot pre
  • flight briefing.  
  • Timely loading of PDS data to ensure that PDS, RMMs, DRDs and LDP
  • cards are ready for pilot step time.
  • On completion of aircraft sorties to retrieve PDS, RMMs, DRDs and to
  • ensure RMMs are available to view as required prior to downloading.
  • To provide the RSAF Operations staff with practical instruction and
  • consolidation training.
  • Perform the correct security handling of any classified materials.
  • The monitoring of Squadron radio ensuring that relevant information is
  • given to the SDO/ Operations Officer and Engineering Operations staff for
  • forward dissemination.
  • Carry out the correct actions in the event of an aircraft incident.
  • Maintain accurate records of pilot currencies and qualifications.
  • Perform any base driving duties safely and abide by the Airfield Driving
  • Regulations.
  • Fulfil daily inspections of company vehicles in accordance with Operations
  • WI’s ensuring they are well maintained and road safe.
  • Perform any secondary duties or objectives set to a satisfactory standard.
  • Carry out any other tasks that are given by the Operations Team Leader,
  • Operations Support & Flying Program Coordinator or Operations Officer.

 

        Support the Saudisation process through the OJT and consolidation training of

  • assigned RSAF personell

        Support the company SHE policy through best practice within the work centre.

        Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line

  • management.

        Deputising for the OPS Support & Flying Program Coordinator during periods of

  • leave/absence to ensure operational capability is not compromised.

 

Secondary Roles

 

The MSS & Operations Support Coordinator is to act as the liaison between

Operations and the STANEVAL section.  This is a support position to STANEVAL

that should not distract the MSS Support Supervisor away from his primary duties.

There duties will consist of:

 

  • Assist in the preparation of 11-45s for SEFE completion.
  • Assist the STANEVAL Chief with informing pilots by letter when they enter
  • their eligibility period.
  • Assist the STANEVAL Chief in maintaining the currency board within
  • STANEVAL.
  • To file completed Bold Faces and Monthly Quiz’s and report any anomalies
  • to the STANEVAL Officer.
  • To assist the STANVAL Chief in the production of pilot and student folders.
  • To maintain accurate publication lists and ensure amendments to flight
  • publications and documentations are correctly distributed.
  • Assist the STANEVAL Chief with the archiving of information IAW
  • STANEVAL Vol 1.
  • In conjunction with the STANEVAL Chief, to ensure pilots are put in the
  • ‘Red’ as directed by the Squadron Commander or STANEVAL Officer. 
  • In conjunction with the STANEVAL Chief, to ensure the ACIF Folder is
  • correctly maintained.

 

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

 

        Ensuring all reports accuracy within the required time limits of company

  • management and/or the RSAF customer.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer

        Familiar with how authorisations, competence and currency affect the completion

  • of flying operations 

        Assisting Company and RSAF personnel in supporting Flight Operations across all

  • squadrons or any newly formed squadron(s).

        Responsible for the designing and managing the training and development of RSAF

  • counterparts where requested.

 

Job Requirements:

 

        Must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.

        Must have completed 5+ years within a high tempo military squadron operations environment.

        Must have Operations and Mission Support knowledge (5+ years in a Squadron Operations role) including an understanding of mission planning support, flying programme maintenance and debriefing support. •

        5 years experience in a Squadron Operations supervisory role.

         Previous experience in delivering On the Job training to subordinates or counterparts. Desirable

         Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.

        An understanding of RAF and /or RSAF engineering operating procedures.
