Responsibilities

 

·       The Senior Systems Engineer – Air Warfare Centre (AWC) will support the Engineering Manager – AWC in undertaking engineering governance and updating and maintaining the engineering strategy plans, processes and procedures, and comply with the BAE Systems Corporate requirements and meet the Customer, Legislative, Regulatory / Standard requirements for the AWC project.

·         The Senior Systems Engineer will work in accordance with the and local policy to develop the Engineering Requirements, and undertake Governance and Assurance activities for the AWC project.

·         The Senior Systems Engineer’s work will include supporting the development, installation & commissioning and subsequent service management of the AWC project.

·         Generate and maintain Engineering Requirements, and Governance and Assurance activities in accordance with the Engineering & Maintenance Functional Governance Manual for the AWC project.

·         Undertakes the requirements capture, means of compliance and closure strategy for the AWC project.

·         Undertakes effective configuration and change management of the requirements and acceptance activities for the AWC project.

·         Acts as a key contributor to assurance activities with the Engineering & Maintenance function.

·         Acts as a key contributor in defining effective through life support solutions for the AWC project.

·         Build strong relationships within SBDCP and with key customer contacts and internal and external suppliers as required.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Essential

·         At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in an engineering capacity. 

·         Relevant Engineering degree with honors.

·         Be able to maintain registration with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

·         Be in possession of or have the able to obtain a Security Check (SC) level clearance.

·         A good understanding of Systems Engineering including requirements management, systems development, integration and delivery.

·         Be innovative and capable of creating new processes and generating innovative solutions where existing solutions do not exist.

·         Understanding of Life-Cycle Management, Quality & Safety Management Systems, export controls, commercial and procurement processes.

 

 

Desirable

·         Demonstrable stakeholder management across a customer and supply chain structure.

·         Influencing skills are beneficial in this role, both externally and internally.

·         Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.

·         Familiarity with the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia governance framework.

·         Understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements.

·         Familiarity with IKIP arrangements and integration.

·         Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, in a Professional Engineering Institution.
