 JOB PURPOSE:

 The Job Holder is responsible for assisting the Snr Financial Accountant with the implementation of appropriate Finance policies and procedures, covering inputs to the books of prime entry, customer credit control and making timely payments to vendors & employees. 

Responsibilities:

·       Assists the Snr Financial Accountant with all matters relating to implementation of financial systems, finance policies and processes, as required

·       Ensures the integrity of the financial ledgers by preparing period-end Debtor and Creditor Control Accounts and reconciliations for review by the Snr Financial Accountant

·       Assists the Snr Financial Accountant with production of period-end (Flash / Hyperion) and annual (Statutory) financial reports and taxation workings

·       Makes / supervises all transactional inputs to the books of prime entry and ensures they adhere to policy and are properly authorised, coded and classified

·       Carries out credit control processes and prepares reports, as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant, to ensure that payments are received in accordance the time limits specified in terms of trading

·       Prepares reports, as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant to ensure that payments to vendors and employees are made in accordance with available funding and the time limits specified in terms of trading and published expense payment policies, respectively

·       Assists the Snr Financial Accountant with ensuring the existence and maintenance of all financial accounting related Process documentation

Job Requirements:

·       Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or similar or 5 years relevant experience
