Responsibilities

 

·        Controlling and supervising all tool control processes in accordance with RSAF Tool Control procedures

 

·       Carry out regular checks of hand tools and tool kits to ensure they are accounted for and in good condition in accordance with RSAF Tool Control procedures.

 

·       Ensuring and understanding the need to secure the tool stores whenever it is necessary to vacate the facility.

 

·       Ensuring and understanding the need to prevent unauthorised access to the tool store

 

·       Reporting any discrepancies in tool control or violations of the tool control area immediately to his Line Manager and the Rectification Controller

 

·       Ensuring that unserviceable hand tools or tool kits are re-demanded as necessary

 

·       Ensuring that in-use stocks of Petrols, Oils and Lubricants are managed diligently with regards to stock levels, batch cards, expiry dates and correct issue and receipt.

 

·       Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in his area of responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions, thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case and associated RSAF Safety Management Systems.

 

·       Ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk in his area of responsibility, as far as is reasonably practicable

 

·       Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within his area of responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processesand procedures by appropriately qualified and experienced personnel

 

·       Coaching and mentoring BAES and RSAF personnel under his supervision

 

·       On Ensuring good Husbandry practices are implemented by staff under his

·       supervision.

 

·       Completeing any other reasonable duties or requests made by appropriate Line Managers

 

·       Carrying out 100% tool checks of the Tool Store ensuring all toolkits, individual tools test equipment and Tool Tags are accounted for at start of shift and cease shift (before the issue of any further items)

 

·       Issue & Receipt of tools and tool kits in accordance wirth TTP 108, ensuring all issues and returns are documented correctly

 

·       Carrying out regular Quality checks on all items within the the Tool Store in accordance with the Schedule at annex A

 

·       Carrying out the etching on replacement tools and ensuring the unserviceable items are disposed of correctly

 

·       Developing and maintaining the Tool Store

 

·       Maintaining a register of items held by 10 AGF that require Calibration and in liaison with the TMEC controller arrange to have items calibrated

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

·       Demonstrable experience working as a Tool Store supervisor conducting Tool Control activities on a busy, military operational flying unit.

·       Good level of interpersonal skill to co-ordinate a number of activities and the ability to communicate, influence and direct decision making.

·       Good understanding of company processes and procedures and industry knowledge. 

·       Fluent in English

·       An understanding of engineering operations procedures within a Maintenance environment.

·       Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.

·       The ability to act upon his own initiative within the scope of his job.

·       A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
