Responsibilities

 

OBJECTIVE & OUTLINE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Objective

  • Support all Prime Contract Requirements and Configurations Management activities associated with Typhoon Programme which includes Process/Procedure Developments & improvements. The role will assure that the total technical and maintenance solutions, when integrated together, meets the Customers intended use.

  • Manage overall Systems Engineering Management activities (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) for KSA SALAM Programme (Typhoon) on behalf Head of Engineering – Integration.

  • maintain the Salam Product Security Management System by working with the Salam Product Delivery Teams and their suppliers to assure products comply with contractual product security requirements and prevailing security regulations, Product security risk is analyzed and decisions documented, and Products meet their required product security requirement to ensure they are secure by design.

 

Accountabilities

·       The role reports to the Head of Engineering – Integration of Typhoon Programme.

·       Responsible to manage the overall Systems Engineering Management activities (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) for KSA SALAM Programme (Typhoon) to provide assurance that SALAM projects are meeting overall requirements that comply with BAEESA E&M FGM policies and mandates.

·       The role responsible to support integration technical management for all stakeholders: BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, other BAE Systems BU’s, MODSAP and particularly relevant RSAF staff.

·       Act as the Functional management PoC in terms of Requirements and Configuration management on behalf Head of Engineering – Integration.

·       To develop SQEP Engineering personnel across SALAM Programme in relation to Requirements, Change and Configuration management.  

·       Maintain the Salam Programme Product Security Management System used to ensure product security risks are effectively managed and products are secure by design.

·       Continuously improve the Salam Product Security Management System.

·       Provide advice, guidance on product security matters and facilitate Product Security Training and Awareness across the Salam Programme. 

  

Job Requirements:

 

·       Educated to Honors Engineering degree level.

·       Associate Engineer (AE) or higher with the Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) or similar form relevant Professional Body

·       Excellent understanding of the application of Engineering Life Cycle Management to develop the appropriate engineering management strategies across the Programme/Projects and their associated solutions. An experienced Design Review Assessor is highly desirable.

·       Experience of the development and application of engineering process, functional governance, assurance and successful deployment.

·       Experience of the development and application of engineering process, organisational design, functional governance, assurance and its successful deployment.

·       Experience of operating in a highly regulated and highly scrutinised area that has significant impact on the organisation’s reputation.

·       Proven ability for objective decision-making regards resources, risk management and engineering and assurance forward strategy

·       In addition to any tailoring the Job Holder will be required to create new processes and generate innovative solutions where an existing solution does not exist.

·       Excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and develop technical relationships with our customers, supporting business units and services.

·       Good management, people development competencies. Management experience with proven ability to manage multi-disciplined staff together with engineering skillsets.

·       A good understanding of the BAE Systems Operational Framework is highly desirable.

·       A good understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and associated financial, project, commercial and HR processes. Experience in BAES, MODSAP & Project Office commercial processes is highly desirable
