Location: Preston (Lancashire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £25,900 (pro rata)

Role description 

Join our 12 week Finance Summer Internship to gain hands on experience and apply your academic knowledge in a real world setting. You’ll work closely with finance professionals and gain exposure to areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis and Project Finance. This placement offers the opportunity to develop key skills, put theory into practice, and learn from experts in the field. You’ll also gain valuable insight into the financial operations of a global business. It’s a great chance to grow professionally and explore the potential for a future career in finance with us.

Core duties 

•    Support financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.
•    Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
•    Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations and financial controls to maintain data integrity and compliance.
•    Build effective relationships across teams, communicating financial information in a clear and accessible way.
•    Contribute to process improvement initiatives, using technology and data to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, teamwork and a willingness to learn and adapt.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Physics.
