Role Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Operations within our Defence Delivery team in Edinburgh Parks, SA.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, based at Edinburgh Parks SA, you will be responsible for receiving, handling and storing inventory so that all stock is processed correctly, efficiently and in line with company procedures and service standards whilst ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of inventory within our Defence Delivery business.

Core Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and process all incoming deliveries within the MRP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchase order requirements
  • Conduct incoming goods inspections to verify quality, quantity, and specification compliance
  • Accurately record and maintain receiving data, including goods receipts, shelf-life controlled items, and quarantined materials.
  • Pick, prepare, and issue Bill of Materials (BOM) kits within agreed service level timeframes
  • Process authorised inventory transactions, including stock transfers, quarantines, returns, and outward loan movements
  • Manage shelf-life controlled inventory to ensure correct storage conditions and timely issue prior to expiry
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain full material traceability through accurate lot and serial number control and documentation and support warehouse administration activities
  • Execute despatch operations and package materials in compliance with ITAR, Dangerous Goods, and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Carry out despatch activities and pack items in compliance with ITAR, Dangerous Goods and other regulations

About You

  • Relevant certificate in Transport and Logistics with current forklift licence is essential
  • Strong ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
  • Confident working independently, with good self‑management and the ability to meet time, quality and cost expectations.
  • Intermediate MS Office capability (Word, Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint).
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to team goals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated warehousing and freight receipt/dispatching experience with a Knowledge of Warehouse management systems either Maximo & Oracle

The Advanced Manufacturing Team

The Edinburgh Parks Warehouse Team is a modern team focused on accuracy, visibility, and control of stock rather than traditional manual picking. While we support physical handling of goods, the majority of our work is system-based, ensuring inventory is correctly recorded, tracked, and available when needed.

We specialise in managing inventory through digital systems, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting end-to-end stock visibility. This enables faster decision-making, reduces errors, and ensures our customers receive the right items, at the right time.

Our team brings value by combining practical warehouse knowledge with strong system and process expertise. We focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and clear communication to support both operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
