Role Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Operations to join our Defence Delivery line of business based at Edinburgh Parks SA, reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead.

You will be responsible for overseeing the accurate receiving, handling and storage of inventory to ensure all stock is processed in line with company procedures and service expectations.

Core Duties:

  • Receipt all deliveries into the relevant MRP database system
  • Inspect /refer all deliveries in accordance with the respective Purchase Order quality inspection clause
  • Record all required Data into respective Databases
    • Goods Receiving
    • Shelf Life
    • Quarantine
  • Pick and issue Bill of Material (BOM) kits in agreed timeframes
  • Conduct authorised Inventory Adjustments including
    • Transfers to/from controlled floor stock
    • Control Code Transfers
    • Transfers to/from outward loan
    • Quarantine
    • Return to Stores Vouchers
    • General warehouse housekeeping
  • Ensure all ‘Shelf Life’ materials are received, warehoused and issued in accordance with their respective expiry dates
  • Undertake periodic ‘Data Integrity’ checks as directed by Warehouse Team Leader within the relevant MRP database system including
    • Cyclic Inventory reviews following BAE policies and procedures
    • Shelf Life monthly reviews
    • Outward Loan and Quarantine reviews
  • Forklift operation as required
  • Other tasks and duties as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Manager or Material Handler Team Leader
  • Complete all receipt and kitting operations within 48 hours
  • Ensure all items comply with BAE standards in Quality Control including packaging standards
  • Establishing items traceability by assigning Lot or Serial Numbers
  • Maintaining item traceability by keeping item receipt and conformance documentation
  • Administration tasks including scanning, filing, maintaining registers
  • Conduct and manage despatch activities as required
  • Pack items to comply with ITAR, Dangerous Goods and other legislation

Essential Skills:

  • Cert II or III in Transport and Logistics
  • Strong ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
  • Confident working independently, with good self‑management and the ability to meet time, quality and cost expectations.
  • Intermediate MS Office capability (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to team goals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of MILIS & Oracle

The Edinburgh Parks Warehouse Team is a modern team focused on accuracy, visibility, and control of stock rather than traditional manual picking. While we support physical handling of goods, the majority of our work is system-based, ensuring inventory is correctly recorded, tracked, and available when needed.

We specialise in managing inventory through digital systems, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting end-to-end stock visibility. This enables faster decision-making, reduces errors, and ensures our customers receive the right items, at the right time.

Our team brings value by combining practical warehouse knowledge with strong system and process expertise. We focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and clear communication to support both operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
