About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ship Integration Project Manager to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Ship Integration Project Manager is primarily responsible for providing support in the governance oversight of the end-to-end delivery of the HCFP.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support Ship Integration Delivery Lead with Program Integrated Quarterly Look Aheads (iQLA) and Operations QLA inputs
- Support Ship Integration Delivery Lead with Program reporting requirements such as strike rates, KPIs and KMs
- Support Ship Integration Delivery Lead with Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities such as; Estimate at Complete (EAC) / Variances, Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and Schedule Health
- Facilitate delivery of Operations Mandated System Reviews (MSR) and Other Production Reviews (OPR)
- Coordinate Operations inputs in accordance with Production Milestones
- Coordinate Operations inputs in accordance with Strategic and Other Performance Measures
- Integrate across all Ship Integration CAM areas with respect to Risk and Opportunity Management
- Champion Ship Integration Program Issues within the HCFP Program Issues framework
- Contribute to BAE Systems Australia’s Project Management processes including but not limited to:
- Contract Status Report (CSR)
- Project Performance Review (PPR)
- Lifecycle Management (LCM) Reviews
- Support the Ship Integration Delivery Lead with the facilitation of Ship Integration Readiness Reviews (SIRR) for complex HCFP evolutions
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar role within Shipbuilding will be advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Proactive driver who has a strong track record of taking independent responsibility for identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- NV1 defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
