Role Description:

We currently have an opportunity for a Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist, Ideally based in Adelaide or Melbourne, however we would consider candidates from other States. Reporting the Head of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Governance and Assurance, the role supports the business and SHE function through data analytics and reporting, incident analytics, SHE IT platform management and compliance to support business and executive reporting.

Core Duties:

  • Responsible for the design and change management of future SHE information database structures, raw/ big-data manipulation, statistical algorithms to deliver predictive analytics.
  • Support the development and production of enterprise SHE performance metrics and reporting.
  • Supports the development of specialised reporting frameworks in conjunction with the business at the enterprise level which deliver information on the effectiveness of controls including distinctions of absent/ failed/ weak barriers
  • Drives effective communication channels to enable information sharing and consistent SHE reporting, assessment and data visualisations.
  • Benchmark external data sets related to SHE and Workers Compensation data.
  • Provide coaching, training and guidance to the SHE community on SHE (including workers compensation) data and analysis.

About You

  • Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Significant experience in SHE as a subject matter expert (SME) operating in a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience in administering SHE information repository such as ProcessMAP, ChemAlert, EAD or similar.
  • Experience in maintaining practice aligned to ISO19600 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing insight/ advice at a middle or senior management level on high-risk/ impact matters.
  • Expertise in the application of complex and best practise data analytics and reporting methodologies.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology, Safety, Engineering or related discipline (required).
  • Member (AIHS / IOSH) (preferred).
