JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Lead and manage critical aspects of Typhoon Technical Support Service (TTSS) related to data integrity and management. Primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the Maintenix Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) and other related systems. Support the Technical Services Manager by overseeing data policies, assessing data change requests, and resolving data queries. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high data standards and support the depth maintenance program.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the Maintenix IMS and other related systems, supporting the depth maintenance program and satisfying data analysis requirements.
· Assess and manage Data Change Requests (DCR) and any corresponding changes in IMS or Engineering Sub System (ESS) to sustain Typhoon Reference Data throughout its lifecycle.
· Test and validate reference and business data changes before their implementation into the live IMS Maintenix system.
· Resolve reference data queries, define amendments, and issue new data, authorising manual or automatic script file changes as needed.
· Assess and compare data integrity relating to aircraft and component life data stored in separate sources, including ESS, Technical Publications, and IMS Maintenix.
· Analyse Technical Specialist Reports and data provided by the In-Service Data Management Team to identify adverse trends and recommend improvements.
· Maintain local processes and procedures related to ESS Data Integrity.
· Establish and maintain effective communication between the UK-based In-Service Support Team (ISST), In-Kingdom Industry Participation (IKIP), Typhoon Design Support Team, Typhoon Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), European Industry via the BTSC at Warton, and the RSAF.
· Ensure that Technical Requests (TR) and other discrete tasks are satisfied within contracted KPMs.
· Prepare inputs to monthly and other TTSS performance reports, summarising TR activities, recording TR performance, and proposing potential improvements.
· Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Typhoon IMS and ESS, providing technical advice to AMO, RSAF, and other TTSS stakeholders within approved data.
· Support TTSS data analysis, including from the In-Service Data Management Team, to identify trends in maintenance or operations and propose potential improvements.
· Provide structured on-the-job training, coaching, advice, and mentoring for RSAF and Saudi National Technical Specialists as required.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential:
· Extensive post qualification practical maintenance/CA experience supported by formal record, including a minimum requirement of 5 years within relevant CA environment.
· Substantial Typhoon Data (ESS or IMS) experience.
· Strong knowledge of Typhoon aircraft systems, and associated support products, with experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
· Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,
OR
· Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
And
· Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) Registration.
· Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable:
· Should be able to work on his own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.
· Should have broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
· Experience in managing Technical Requests (TRs) and using systems such as TeamCenter for Request resolution.
· Computer literate with a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
· NVQ5/BTEC/HND or Degree in a relevant technical discipline, acceptable to M&CA.
· Incorporated or Technician Engineer with an appropriate professional institute such as Saudi Council of Engineers, Royal Aeronautical Society or Institute of Engineering & Technology.
