Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-In-Furness – Onsite.
Salary: £35,802+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Conducting routine quality activities within the QE function and wider supply chain in accordance with relevant processes and procedures
- Producing KPI metrics and reports within the QE function and those reflecting supplier performance
- Managing own tasks, delivering results, identifying and anticipating risk and escalating problem areas
- Supporting improvement initiatives across the QE function, wider business unit and supplier base
- Driving quality performance within own supplier portfolio with support from Principal and Lead Quality Engineers
- Managing your own development and supporting Principal and Lead Quality Engineers on complex none routine quality projects and investigations
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience in production environments
- Problem solving experience
- Ability to analyse data, produce reports and analyse trends
- Computer system skills – Microsoft Office, general IT literacy
Desirable:
- Industry standard problem-solving tools and techniques; 5Whys, 8D, DMAIC, other
- STEM related qualification or experience

The Quality Engineer team:
As a part of Quality Engineer Team, you will be supporting the Astute, Dreadnought and SSNA programmes. Responsibility for ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System.
