Job Title: Senior Structural Quality Inspector
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – Onsite

What you’ll be doing:
- The role as a Senior Structural Quality Inspector includes performing Quality Inspections to BAE requirements, audit and document receipt of procured parts within the business
- Understanding the Quality requirements, the schedule and priorities and assuring the provision of an inspection service in line with the above
- Assuring that high quality records are produced as an output of the production processes and Inspections
- Takes accountability for Quality Inspections of externally manufactured products, Quality Inspection requirements and document release of procured parts at the Barrow Site
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Steelwork, Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Background
- Broad Understanding of Quality Inspection Techniques
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, SAP, Word and Outlook
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Relevant Trade (Steelwork)
Desirable:
- Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis
- Lean Techniques

The Quality Inspector Team:
The team has responsibility for inspection across all external suppliers and the diversity of the Stakeholder group and the complexity of the product make this a very challenging and interesting role. Over the last 10 years this area has undergone major improvements, however there are still many opportunities to drive further developments and add real value to the business and the customer. This role will provide you with great exposure to internal Stakeholders and offer development opportunities for you to build a lasting career with BAE Systems.
