Job title: Senior Project Professional-Delivery (Prototyping)

Salary: £40,748+ Dependent of skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinating the population of a prototyping plan, maintaining it, and reporting on its status
• Coordinating the overall scope of prototyping activities required to de-risk the programme through a maintained prototyping matrix
• Acting as part of a team delivering a holistic prototyping scope, plan, and framework to de-risk the system of work from data creation to manufacture
• Reporting on the status of the project, schedule, risk & opportunities
• Managing cross functional stakeholders

Your skills and experiences: 

Essential

• Professional Project Management qualification or relevant experience
• Understanding of Lifecycle Management and Governance Frameworks
• Proven ability to manage and engage a diverse range of stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving consensus towards shared goals
• The capacity to identify and trouble shoot project challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend solutions

Desirable

• Engineering or Manufacturing background with knowledge of Engineering Lifecycle Management
• Understanding of Benefits Assessments and management methods

The Programme Architecture team:

This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of the Programme Architecture Team, the custodian of the SSNA Programme requirements. In this role, you will be part of a team delivering the pilot and prototype project, ensuring its successful integration into the broader SSNA Programme. You will play a pivotal role in managing the prototyping scope and coordinating its delivery to de-risk the programme during the transition to new toolsets, processes, and data. This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams from Engineering, Design, Planning, Manufacturing, and Capability Delivery Projects. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
