About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for multiple Senior Business Analyst roles to join our Hunter Program based at Adelaide, reporting to the Business Analysis Practice Lead. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. You will be responsible for the clarification of business or customer needs through the investigation, analysis, review and documentation of requirements to ensure that delivered solutions are appropriate and aligned to the business or customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engage with business and Hunter teams to understand and document business problems, opportunities, as well as the current and future states of systems and processes in scope
• Determine a suitable business analysis approach to projects, identifying stakeholders, selecting analysis techniques, planning analysis activities and identifying external factors that will impact requirements
• Manage and trace business and stakeholder requirements through their lifecycle, including elicitation, prioritisation, and verification
• Assist the design and selection of innovative solutions that are feasible, cost effective, meet business goals and objectives, and deliver value
• Lend support to technical teams throughout the development, testing, training, delivery and support of solutions
• Foster positive working relationships with, and manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring BA artefacts are kept valid over the life of the project
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, both within the Business Analysis Practice and with the organisation at large

About YOU

• Extensive experience as the lead business analyst working across complex projects
• A tertiary qualification with a background in ICT, business or engineering is highly desirable
• IIBA Certification or experience in utilising BABOK would be an advantage
• Experience in either of the two work environments would be an advantage:
  • Technical business analysis within an Agile environment to assist development teams, or
  • Business analysis in an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance
