Salary: Up to £47,000 depending on experience

Job Description:
You will play a pivotal role in strengthening organisational resilience in scenarios of conflict and crisis. Your role will focus on planning, coordination, and implementation of strategies to anticipate, prevent, respond, and recover from potential conflicts and high-level impact events. You will provide expert guidance across operational, strategic, and policy levels to ensure integrated and effective resilience planning.
Core duties:
- You will identify, assess, and monitor conflict and other potential risks which could lead to major incidents affecting Maritime and Land
- You will develop, review, and maintain conflict response frameworks aligned with statutory requirements and organisational objectives
- You will conduct scenario analysis, horizon scanning, and threat forecasting to inform risk mitigation strategies
- You will act as a key liaison across LoB, external agencies, and civil protection authorities for conflict/major incident preparedness and management
- You will design, deliver, and evaluate exercises, simulations, and workshops to test resilience plans and operational readiness
- You will provide guidance and support to multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of resilience awareness and preparedness
Essential Skills:
- You will be experienced working with public sector, military, or civil protection agencies in Crisis/Resilience Management
- You will have practical experience in multi-agency incident management or post-incident review exercises
- You will bring expert knowledge of emergency planning, business continuity, and conflict risk management
- You’ll demonstrate proven understanding of multi-agency coordination frameworks and civil contingencies legislation (e.g., Civil Contingencies Act, ISO 22301)
- You’ll have demonstrable experience in crisis management, operational resilience, or related advisory roles
- Competence in project management, training delivery, and facilitation of exercises or simulations
- You will hold a qualification or professional certification in emergency planning, resilience management, or conflict and security studies, or relevant experience
The Maritime and Land Sector – Resilience Team:
This is an opportunity to come into a dynamic and diverse role, where you will have the key opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in conflict risk planning & proactive resilience management. You will do so, through access to a range of key and senior stakeholders across the business, both internally & externally, up to director level.
