Job Description:
You will work within an Integrated Project Team (IPT), delivering a mix of proactive and reactive quality activities to support product and process excellence. The role offers a dynamic, rewarding environment where no two days are the same, with the opportunity to make a real impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. This includes engaging with customers and suppliers, supporting continuous improvement, and influencing quality outcomes across the product lifecycle.
Core duties:
- Managing non-conforming product, including review and disposition to ensure appropriate and timely resolution
- Leading and supporting root cause analysis, as well as implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Interpreting customer requirements and translating these into robust quality plans, including maintaining and updating documentation as required
- Auditing compliance against internal processes, procedures, and quality standards to ensure adherence and continuous improvement
- Reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for supplied parts, and creating FAIRs for internally manufactured products
Essential Skills:
You will be detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement individual who can contribute positively to both product quality and team development and has experience with:
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Corrective and preventive action (CAPA)
- Auditing principles and practices
- Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
The Development Quality Assurance Team:
Our team supports a wide range of advanced programmes across the Rochester site, providing exposure to multiple cutting-edge technologies and product areas. These include controls, displays, control boxes, hardware and software systems, as well as complex electronics. As a Quality Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience with real aerospace systems, enabling you to develop a strong understanding of both hardware and software integration within complex, safety-critical environments.
