Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Rochester
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities
- Planning, conducting, reporting and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities
- Supporting senior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting activities such as non-conformance management, first article inspections, audits, product release and document reviews
- Engagement with project Teams and supporting functions
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
- Knowledge and some experience of First Article Inspections to AS9102
- Quality Assurance Planning
- Supplier Quality Assurance Management
- Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
- Experience in Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations
Desirable:
- Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
- Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
- Previous experience in electronic products
- Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety – APR 4754 / ARP 4761

The Quality Assurance Team:
As part of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be implementing the internal Quality Assurance strategy for development projects. This opportunity enables someone with existing Systems, Software and Hardware development experience to gain knowledge and experience of Aerospace standards, in the quality assurance role within the product development lifecycle.
This opportunity will allow you to gain knowledge and experience in the Quality Assurance role within the development lifecycle programme for Safety Critical Systems including processes for Requirements Management, Product Design, Implementation, Verification and Validation.
