Job Description
Job title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £39,873+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- This role will require the dimensional inspection of product to the relevant specifications and technical data and reporting accordingly
- You should have the ability to interpret CMM reporting formats
- You will be identifying non-conformance with input into corrective actions
- It is required that you work cross-functionally to support any gaps or deficiencies found during the inspection activities
- Ensuring the basic maintenance of CMM, Measurement Arm & Minor tooling is carried out
- You will take control of calibrated equipment
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Trade background – time served in trade discipline
- Experienced in the use of Co-ordinated Measurement Machine (CMM) & Portable Measurement Arms (FARO)
- Experienced in Receipt Inspection
- Experienced in ERP systems i.e. SAP
- Experienced in the use of a wide range of minor measurement equipment including: Slip Gauges, Micrometres, Bowers Micrometre, Height Gauge, Borescope
- Experienced at reading & interpreting tight tolerance technical drawings
Desirable:
- Qualified to Level 1 or 2 of National Physical Laboratory (NPL)
