This role is ideal for an experienced project professional who can confidently operate in a complex and evolving environment. You’ll support project planning, performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, change activities and the development of key project artefacts. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work autonomously through ambiguity, and build strong relationships to help deliver successful program outcomes.

Core Duties:

  • Support the planning and delivery of projects and discrete work packages within the AUKUS Program.
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts, including plans, schedules, reports, risk registers and governance documentation.
  • Monitor project performance, track progress against milestones and support cost and schedule reporting.
  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project change management processes.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities to support project delivery and project change outcomes.
  • Drive integration activities across project teams and business stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Identify, track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and changes, including mitigation and escalation activities.
  • Contribute to program reporting, providing accurate and timely updates on project status, performance and change metrics.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting projects within a complex project or program environment.
  • Proven experience developing and managing project management artefacts and documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience supporting or delivering project change management activities, processes and initiatives.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Defence industry experience is essential.
  • Project Management qualifications or equivalent practical project delivery experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance
