Role Description:
You will be responsible to project manage, maintain healthy customer relationships, achieve project financial targets and continuously improve processes relating to the sustainment of Naval and Surveillance products and services. This role is required to based on-site due to the management of hardware repairs, however some flexibility is available such as the 9-day fortnight.
Core Duties:
- Support numerous customer’s sustainment requirements including management of contracts and delivering upon contractual requirements.
- Actively manage repairable item work order workflows to achieve optimised outputs whilst maintaining governance.
- Apply a continuous improvement view on all aspects of sustainment support.
- Lead a small team to assist with the delivery of the sustainment projects.
- Identify and implement Value for Money (VFM) initiatives that improve project outcomes for the company and customers.
- Foster a positive collaborative culture between the key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Identify project opportunities and risks and develop mitigation strategies for pursuit throughout contract phases. Monitor and report on the status of risks and opportunities.
- Ensure that products and services delivered as part of a project are in accordance with the Product Safety Policy and provide customer satisfaction.
About You
- Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance (Essential).
- Demonstrated customer facing experience in a project or business management role.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and managing workflows (Oracle, Maximo and Jira).
- An eye for detail and accuracy, driven by data to continuously improve processes and results.
- Specific project management qualifications are not mandatory but vocational/ trade or higher education qualifications in project management and/ or allied disciplines are highly desirable.
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/ or external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, to guide and develop others.
- Qualification/demonstrated experience in a technical background (preferably electronics).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills, especially in MS Excel, MS Project, Oracle, Maximo and Jira.
