Job Title: Programme Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000 commensurate with skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate activities to ensure that assigned projects meet all Customer and Business requirements
- Liaise with the Production Management Team to ensure that delivery schedules are correctly scheduled, resourced and achieved
- Review progress against plans and identify and address emergent risks and opportunities
- Liaise with the Procurement Team to ensure that material is obtained to support the planned manufacturing programme
- Prepare and present monthly project status reports to Manufacturing Management team
- Provision of support, and appropriate inputs, to bidding activities in support of future work packages
- Liaise with customers on programme status, coordination of query resolution and development of future opportunities
- Project launch of new contract requirements
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience of working in light electromechanical manufacturing environment
- Understanding of software-based planning and reporting systems
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Project Management
Desirable:
- Experience of SAP systems

The BAE Systems Manufacturing Team:
The BAE Systems (Products) Manufacturing facility at Hillend are responsible for the manufacture of complex Printed Circuit Assemblies for a wide range of products for both BAE Systems internal programmes and external 3rd party Customers. The team of 4 Project Managers take a lead role in planning, monitoring and controlling activities to ensure that both Customer and Business targets are achieved and regularly interface with our customers.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to further develop both knowledge and skills with opportunities to move into other more senior roles either within the Manufacturing facility or the wider BAE Systems organisation.
