Job Title: Principal Application Configuration Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing
- You will be responsible for leading a workstream within the Application Configuration scope
- Influencing the coordination and delivery of both reactive support and proactive, user-facing initiatives across Business-Wide PLM and CAD tools for the SSNA programme
- Be a key user of the PLM-CAD Applications providing support and advice to users
- Drive improvements in the deployment and user experience of PLM–CAD applications, ensuring that process and data governance practices are being adhered to
- Contribute to the deployment of PLM-CAD capability improvements, supporting key deliverables of the NXGenDigital programme
- Support with the definition, implementation and adherence to departmental and organisational quality processes and standards
- Assist end users in achieving required data quality standards across PLM-CAD applications
Your skills and experiences
- Business knowledge of submarine solutions or related sectors within engineering and manufacturing
- A strong understanding of the data model underpinning supported PLM-CAD tools
- Good stakeholder management and analytical problem-solving abilities
- A relevant degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in shipbuilding, or complex manufacturing (in lieu of formal qualifications where appropriate)
- Experience gained with leading/mentoring teams

The team
By joining us in the team, you will play a key part within our NXGenDigital programme that will continue to grow within the business and holds a lengthy future timeline ahead. The primary purpose of the role is to provide expert frontline support for PLM–CAD applications, ensuring that users can fully adopt and effectively utilise the tools. The role will guide stakeholders, resolve issues and help maximise the value these applications deliver across the organisation. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
