Job Description:

As a MK0 Equipment Engineering Group Leader, you will work closely with our UK based suppliers to ensure the Radar equipment designs meet the Specification Requirements, are Safe, Robust and delivered to schedule with the required platform capabilities realised.

Core duties:

  • Communicating effectively the complex Equipment changes to a wide variety of stakeholders to be able to influence large complex multi-national programmes
  • Managing suppliers; influence supplier’s actions and behaviour in difficult contractual/commercial landscapes
  • Co-ordinating the Sensor System delivery into and through the aircraft integration / flight test phases of the programme
  • Leading product safety aspects of sensor equipment design and processes used to build safe cases
  • Leading small / medium sized teams of Radar Equipment Specialist Engineers

Essential Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related discipline
  • Systems integration experience
  • Experience working within the full lifecycle of a product
  • Experience working with complex engineering systems e.g. radar or sensors etc.

The MK0 Radar Team:

The Radar comprise of a complex mix of integrated mission computers, developed primarily to meet the stretching capability requirements of the Typhoon customers, including potential future export markets.

The continuing development of the European Common Radar System capabilities on Typhoon necessitates a strong and experienced team to meet the programme demands of a Radar of this type. The role presents a challenging opportunity to contribute tangible value to the future of EF Typhoon Radar Equipment Development.
