Job Description:

This role leads the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing IT/OT systems within a complex manufacturing environment. Working closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams, you will oversee system upgrades, governance, cyber security compliance, and roadmap delivery to ensure manufacturing systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned to business requirements.

Core duties:

• Lead and support the Manufacturing Systems team, managing priorities, workload, and development across system activities
• Oversee delivery of the Manufacturing Systems roadmap, including upgrades, remediation activities, and continuous system improvements
• Ensure system changes are delivered in a controlled, secure, and compliant manner, aligned to business standards and governance requirements
• Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, IT, and wider stakeholders to deliver integrated manufacturing system solutions
• Provide oversight and support for complex system issues, driving continuous improvement and maintaining system performance and reliability

Essential Skills:

• Experience delivering and supporting Manufacturing IT/OT systems within complex industrial or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of cyber security, governance, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, with an understanding of risk and lifecycle management
• Experience managing system upgrades, deployments, remediation, or obsolescence activities across operational environments
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, operations, IT, and wider business stakeholders to support manufacturing system delivery

The Manufacturing Systems Competency team:

As part of a multidisciplinary Manufacturing Systems competency team, you will work closely with functional project managers, engineering and operations teams to deliver solutions into live manufacturing environments. The team focuses on deploying new OT capabilities, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and continuously improving how manufacturing systems integrate with plant equipment and wider business processes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a background in IT, automation or controls engineering who is interested in developing their expertise within Operational Technology and manufacturing systems.
