Job Title: KFAA Leadership Training Instructor

JOB PURPOSE

 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The position will serve as a Leadership Training (LT) Instructor for BAE Systems SDT at the King Faisal Air Academy, Al-Maj’maah.

The job holder will be responsible for the delivery of the LT syllabus to cadets at KFAA.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Ensuring that the LT objectives are being correctly delivered and that the leadership package is taught in a dynamic and supportive environment.

·         The delivery of the academic leadership lessons.

·         Planning and managing the delivery of all leadership specific practical training.

·         The management and delivery of the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)psychometric type questionnaire to cadets.

·         The integration of practical leadership into the confirmatory practical training exercises.

·         The development and delivery of bespoke remedial LT for cadets who are finding aspects of the leadership module difficult.

·         Providing input to the end of term / course review boards on a cadet’s leadership performance.

·         Providing additional support to any aspects of the training delivery as required.

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL:

·         Defence Train the Trainer course.

·         Royal Air Force College (RAFC) Cranwell Officer and Aircrew Training Unit Staff Induction Course (OSIC) – post 2004 or Saudi Officers School (SOS) in Khamis Mushyet, “Alsahan” graduates and instructors.

·         Leadership Qualification: Master, Bachelor, Diploma, Foundation Degree, Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Certificate Level 5 Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Certificate level 5 or equivalent.

·         Well documented evidence of two years’ experience in teaching leadership in a military environment.

DESIRABLE:

·         Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring (CMI / ILM level 5)

·         Recognised leadership, air power or military skills qualifications

·         Strength Deployment Inventory Level 1

·         European Ropes Course Association (ERCA) High & Low Ropes Instructor Qualification.
