Job Title:  In Country Liaison Lead

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid)

Majority of time being located at client sites across Poland.  

Grade: GG12

 

Role Purpose

To manage the interface between the customer & BAE Systems on ammunition programmes, ensuring both parties are able to bridge cultural, language and geographic barriers to deliver current and future programmes successfully.

Requirement to spend time in the UK building relationships and familiarising with product.

Objectives of Role

  • Support the effective delivery of a complex £400m+ technology transfer programme to Poland for a manufacturing set of facilities (across three sites)
  • Account Management interface between the client and BAE Systems on Technology Transfer and future programmes
  • Interpret and advise on programme issues, risks and opportunities
  • Effectively translate across cultural and language barriers to enable seamless programme execution
  • Support the establishment of future cooperation programmes between the two parties
  • Provide advice and guidance to BAE Systems leadership on how to work effectively with the client
  • Manage requirements of UK based teams deployed to Poland – ensuring that they are able to work effectively and safely
  • Work coherently to grow business opportunities with the client

 

Mandatory skills and experience

  • Proven account management skills – skilled networker and builder of relationships (5-10 years in an equivalent role)
  • Able to understand and communicate complex issues
  • Commercially astute
  • Technically literate
  • Fluent Polish and English (written and verbal)
  • Programme management experience
  • Formal Degree Qualification (Leadership/Business/Project Management)
  • Track record in business growth
  • Demonstrate existing/positive relationships with defence industry in Poland.

 

Desirable skills and experience

  • Understanding of Technology Transfer programmes
  • Understanding of defence ammunition market
  • Experience of working in the UK
