Job title: Graduate Defence Solutions Electronics Firmware Engineer 

Location: Cowes/Great Baddow (Isle of White) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description 

This role supports the development and maintenance of electronic engineering solutions across new and legacy products. Working under technical supervision, you will apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering tasks, gaining a strong understanding of P&TS Electrical & Electronic Engineering processes. You will develop insight into Radar and Sensor systems.
 
Core duties:

Under technical supervision: 
•    Support electronic circuit design including component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture and contributing to PCB layouts. 
•    Support VHDL design, code, simulation, test, and integration. 
•    Use laboratory test equipment for design evaluation and verification.
•    Use firmware development tools for design simulation and verification. 
•    Contribute to design documentation and technical reports.

The Defence Solutions Team 

BAE Systems provides Radar products and support services to a diverse range of customers worldwide, including the Royal Navy. Becoming a member of the Radar team will provide you with significant exposure to the BAE Systems organisation as you engage with engineering functions across the business, delivering radar capabilities and development, with the radar team covering the whole engineering cycle using the latest cutting-edge technology. Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related engineering, science or technology discipline with relevant electrical and/or electronic engineering content.
