Salary: Up to £57,500 Dependent on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
- This is a senior role in Facilities Management and Site Operations, within the defence or heavy engineering sector. The responsibilities merge client management, strategic planning, and operational oversight across multiple secure or industrial sites
- Acting as the primary liaison between SF&I (Site Facilities & Infrastructure or similar) and various Maritime & Land business units
- Developing long-term (0-5 year) infrastructure strategies to meet growing business needs and product requirements
- Ensuring day-to-day safe and security, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all facilities and equipment across four main engineering and manufacturing sites
- Health, safety, environmental (SHE), and security regulations, while also driving Continuous Improvement initiatives
- With exposure to senior leadership throughout the business, the role is a high impact, strategic facilities management position responsible for enabling the core business operations of a defence contractor by providing robust, safe, and scalable physical infrastructure
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven leadership experience as a facilities manager or in a relevant position within an industrial or multi-site environment coupled with a strong background in managing technical services, such as mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge and experience of core Project Management capabilities (i.e. Planning & Scheduling, Risk & Opportunity Management, Performance Management, Lifecycle Management and Stakeholder Management)
- Highly proficient in the requirements and application of best practices to ensure SHE attainment is achieved throughout product, process and support development and delivery
- Excellent general understanding of the infrastructure and facilities management in manufacturing and supporting disciplines
- Knowledge of facilities and infrastructure support processes and commercial contract delivery mechanisms relating to interfaces with Asset Management organisations
- Proven experience and expertise in understanding and analysing service delivery models and driving continuous improvement programmes, identifying areas for improvement
