Job Title: Enterprise Risk and IT Tools Specialist (Edgewing)
Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems Air site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Job Description:
The Enterprise Risk IT Tools Specialist provides the technical foundation that enables effective enterprise risk management (ERM) reporting and decision-making. The role ensures that risk data is accurately captured, maintained, and translated into meaningful insights for senior leadership. Initially working within Excel-based processes, the specialist will also support the transition to a dedicated ERM system, acting as the technical focal point for data structures, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting outputs. Supports the Head of Enterprise Risk Management in delivering high-quality, reliable risk information, ultimately informing the CEO and executive leadership
Core duties:
- Maintain, update, and assure the integrity of the enterprise-wide risk register
- Extract, analyse, and validate KPIs and other risk metrics using Excel and/or ERM tools
- Develop dashboards, visualisations, and management information reports to support strategic decision-making
- Enable consistent definition, measurement, and extraction of risk priorities and risk appetite indicators
- Support the implementation and evolution of the ERM system, ensuring data quality, structure, and reporting alignment
- Act as the technical enabler for ERM processes, ensuring toolset usability and accurate data flows
Essential Skills:
- Experience of risk management tools, data models, dashboards, and KPI reporting
- Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and dashboard development (e.g. Power BI)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) registers, extract meaningful KPIs, and present clear, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders
- Experience delivering metrics and reporting for enterprise-level risk assessments, including contributing to data used for executive and CEO-level decision-making
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to structure and interpret quantitative risk data with accuracy and clarity
- Experience developing and applying risk assessment methodologies, including probability, impact, and risk prioritisation models
