Job Title: Canada and Europe North Campaign Lead

Salary: Circa £69,200

Role Description:

This role is responsible for establishing and leading a Business Development Campaign, focused on Canada and the Nordics.

The person made responsible for creating the appropriate business winning environment for Canada & the Nordics through market understanding, market planning and positioning, developing opportunities and pursuing captures/campaigns.

The role will also require involvement or leadership of Capture or Bid Response activities where necessary.

Core Duties:

  • You will work with stakeholders, develops and implements strategy/marketing plans
  • You will act upon market analysis and intelligence data to influence and plan investments
  • You will have a key role leading understanding and influencing/shaping of the customer requirement, defining opportunity timeline and acting as customer advocate during solution development
  • You will develop clear understanding of and communicates the customer procurement process, that underpins the win strategy
  • You will work closely with Capture and Project teams to share and focus key messages, supporting customer engagement where appropriate to specific captures or projects & understand current customer issues/concerns
  • You will identify, create & develop new business opportunities and generates appropriate business case(s) to support Phase review pursue/stop decisions until Capture Team formation
  • You will lead the customer and local market intelligence gathering and acts as the main conduit for intelligence on customer’s requirement ensuring the capture & bid/proposal team are kept up to date

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in frontline business development or sales role, this will be demonstrated through your excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Significant Business Winning experience and a substantial understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures and industry best practice
  • Understanding of the Markets in which BAE Systems operates as well as its competitors and a good understanding and knowledge of the area in which the role operates
  • Experience of stakeholder relationships within Canada, Nordics or NATO would be beneficial

The Campaign team:

This is an opportunity for you to manage, develop and maintain an excellent relationship with the customers, key influencers, governments, local consultants (where used) and internal stakeholders and make the role your own through enabling this area of the business to gain a foothold and grow. You will achieve this through focusing on complex markets and high value opportunities, with the opportunity for both domestic and international travel.
