ROLE OBJECTIVE & OUTLINE RESPONSIBILITY:
· Maintaining standards of all documentation and data with respect to aircraft engineering and flight line servicing. WRT aircraft engineering and servicing in support of the RSAF Typhoon Flying programme and generate aircraft to achieve the Commander’s operational intent.
· Carry out engineering activities in accordance with the approved data and any associated regulations as directed by the Trade Supervisors / Senior Supervisors.
Responsibilities:
· Carry out Specialist Trade maintenance activities or flight line duties as required by the RSAF and directed by line management.
· Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within their area of responsibility are carried out in accordance with the approved data and any associated regulations.
· Ensuring that all their engineering activity is covered by the appropriate delegated Engineering Authority.
· Maintaining high standards of all documentation and data with respect to aircraft engineering and servicing activities conducted.
· Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in their area of responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the RSAF LMR and BAE Systems Operation Framework and that as far as is reasonably practicable, ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk.
· Ensuring good husbandry practices are adhered to by carrying out post maintenance reviews to ensure that all Aircraft, tools or Equipment utilised are returned to the appropriate area in the required condition.
· Support the RSAF Safety program through maintaining high standards, supporting the RSAF FOD programme and raising any required safety forms such as 1400-061 in accordance with the RSAF regulatory framework.
· Ensuring that good communication and liaison is maintained with their line management and additional management staff in the AGF
· Manage personal administration such as reporting any individual issues or sickness to line management, ensuring return to work interviews are completed and correctly submitting mandatory timesheets IAW company policy.
· Ensure that the Safety and Quality Management System is understood and adhered to.
· Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management.
Job Requirements:
· Have at least 3 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,
· Typhoon Avionics Q Course.
· Demonstrate elementary knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
· Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
· Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration
