Job Title: Architecture Management Office – Operations Manager

Location: Warton – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £56,766 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the IT Architecture Management Office
  • Organise and facilitate architecture board meetings, design reviews and decision forums
  • Track progress on architecture work ensuring deliverables met timelines and quality expectations
  • Ensure architecture documentation is up to date and adheres to compliance and audit requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between IT Architecture, business units and project delivery teams, communicating architecture outcomes to various stakeholders
  • Prepare executive summaries, dashboards and reports for leadership
  • Support resource demand planning, budgeting, forecasting and capacity planning for the architecture team
  • Maintain a central repository of architectural artefacts, roadmaps and standards
  • Support the further development and implementation of architecture principles, policies, standards, templates and reporting structures

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience or knowledge of system architecture work
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and software. (such as Bizzdesign)

Desirable:

  • Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Project Management background
  • Understanding of Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF

The Architecture Management Office team

The AMO is a new team, setup to ensure that Air Enterprise Architecture is managed in a coherent manner. To enable the business to deliver in a agile and cost effective manner, whilst adhering to all regulatory standards.

As the Operations Manager, you will support the development and act as design authority for the integration of solutions developed by strategic IM&T programmes across the Air business unit, performing design governance over the activities of the programmes and suppliers engaged in developing those solutions. ou will ensure proper engagement with projects, services, functions and systems owners to ensure that the Business Solutions developed are delivered and perform in a coherent manner which best supports the Air business strategy.
