Salary: Circa £69,500 depending on experience (plus executive benefits)

Job Description:

BAE Systems is undertaking a business led, technology enabled programme to transform the finance function. The programme will be implementing multiple SAP products that will allow us to provide data, insights and financial planning and forecasting to support the business to unlock value and drive superior performance.

This is a critical role facing off to senior IM&T stakeholders and will require excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of delivering business led and complex IT enabled transformation programmes where multiple parties are involved in the delivery of technology changes.

Core duties:

•           Act as the primary liaison between the programme and Sector/LoB IM&T teams, building strong stakeholder relationships and representing programme priorities

•           Collaborate with programme leadership, delivery partners, and IM&T teams to identify, document, and manage data, integration, environment, and technical dependencies

•           Lead planning and coordination of data and technical change delivery, ensuring alignment with programme schedules, resource demands, and cost estimates

•           Influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with senior stakeholders to support timely delivery and maintain collaborative working relationships

•           Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), ensuring effective mitigation plans, governance compliance, and PMO alignment

•           Facilitate technology forums, programme governance meetings, and post-implementation reviews, driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice sharing

Essential Skills:

•           A formal Project Management certification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or ChPP

•           Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Activate and experience of delivering SAP enabled business transformation programmes a strong advantage

•           Should have good understanding of Waterfall and Hybrid Agile delivery methodologies

•           Previous experience of delivering IT related projects (inception through to delivery)

The Finance Transformation Team:

You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive technology team at the heart of the programme where you will report to the Technical Programme Manager and be responsible for the management of data and technical dependencies on local IM&T teams in each Sector/LoB. We are a dynamic team focused on delivering large-scale transformation initiatives across the business.
