LTEWP Support Lead – Engineering

JOB PURPOSE 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The IT Support Assistant is responsible to provide onsite technical support within the Electronic Warfare Facility (EWC) Salboukh, Riyadh. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the customer’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting users across secure networks and systems. This role requires close coordination with both the customer’s internal teams and the wider Mission Services Organisation.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide onsite IT support to users within the Electronic Warfare Facility.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.

  • Maintain operating systems, applications, and endpoint security tools.

  • Support user account management, permissions, and access requests in accordance with System operation policies.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.

  • Respond to and resolve service desk tickets within agreed SLAs.

  • Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Configuration management tool.

  • Coordinate with external engineering teams for escalation and resolution of complex technical issues.

  • Ensure compliance with the customer’s IT security and operational procedures.

  • Support routine maintenance activities, patching, and system updates.

  • Provide user guidance and basic training when required. Additional Accountabilities.

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Substantial experience in IT support, service desk, or system administration roles.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows-based environments.

  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and end users onsite.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills in English and Arabic.
