JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) Academic Wing (AW) Standards and Evaluation (StanEval) Departments role is to assure required training standards are met in AW.
StanEval provides governance of the training service that the Company delivers to AW under the Officer and Aircrew Training (O&AT) contract. STANEVAL provides governance through the following activities:

Academic Instructors & Staff Evaluation.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Within the AW and in accordance with Company policy and procedures, the Job Holder is to:

Use the Systems Approach to Training and Training Governance across AW including liaison with RSAF Governance and Inspection Team (GAIT).
-
Use Training Life Cycle Management (LCM) per Company HB07/06 across AW.

Conduct reviews, evaluations, verification and validation of curriculum and courseware to assure compliance with quality system and training standards.
-
Conduct instructor evaluations on new hire instructors on probation, instructors with annual re-licensing, and delegated evaluators with annual re-licensing.
-
Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits with relevant authorities and accrediting agencies.
-
Maintain configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation and supporting data for curriculum or courseware change requests.

Gain approvals for curriculum or courseware changes with the RSAF, MODSAP and other relevant Stakeholders (including external authorities and accrediting agencies).

Review reports on the performance of individual cadets and classes, departmental performance and other matters as required.

Administer test and examination assessments securely.

Use the TMIS / LMIS system for data and record keeping data analysis and reporting.

Ensure records are retained within STANEVAL to provide an auditable trail.

Monitor course and test schedules of the AW departments.

Liaise with the RSAF Programmes and Examination Department as necessary.

If required, supervise Departmental staff, including professional development and training.

Provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos.

Provide feedback to management to improve service performance and responsiveness and identify opportunities.

Ensure compliance with SHE policy and processes and Duty of Care responsibilities.

Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.

Adhere to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and performance as defined in Company policy.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
-
Relevant Degree (preferably at master’s level), or professional equivalent.
-
One-year postgraduate teaching course, an Instructional Technique (IT) course or equivalent.
-
Substantial and relevant teaching or instructing experience.
-
Certified ISO 9001 auditor.
-
Competent in using MS Office software.
-
Fluency in English to IELTS 7 level if non-native speaker.
-
Experience in Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) per UK MOD JSP822 or similar instructional system design (ISD).
Desirable
-
Experience in auditing academic or training activities.

Experience in instructor evaluations.

Experience in training governance and reporting.

Experience in course and subject evaluations, verification and validation.

Experience in planning and organising complex training activities.

Experience in communicating and influencing management, customers and stakeholders.

Experience in teaching in a supervisory or co-ordinating capacity in an academic or military institution.

Experience in training design; development of curriculum, syllabus and courseware; and test design experience.

Experience in and knowledge of RSAF practices and procedures preferably gained through the involvement with the Company’s programmes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Experience in configuration management and control.

Knowledge and understanding of training and learning management information systems (TMIS / LMIS) & Data analysis.
-
Subject matter expertise in aviation training related speciality.
