Job Title: WTA Combat Systems Senior Engineer

Salary: £44,000 to £49,000 Depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Work with the respective Combat Systems engineering team in supporting the safe embodiment of new capability
- Working with a diverse customer stakeholder environment in order to integrate a vast array of solutions
- Critically analyse technical information to ensure the future capability is safely integrated
- Responding to technical queries and supporting the waterfront delivery teams
- Assist the customer in developing future capability evolution
- Apply engineering knowledge and experience to complex engineering change process in the development of engineering impact assessment and in support of problem resolution
Your skills and experiences:
- Strong background in Electronic Systems within the Defence Sector
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or suitable demonstrable experience
- Strong communication skills
- Possesses a broad knowledge of engineering standards and their application throughout the design change process
- A broad knowledge/experience of The System Engineering Lifecycle
- Adaptability to flexibly work between projects and different ship Classes and capable of working within project timelines

The Asset Management WTA Team:
As a member of the BAE Systems Asset Management Warship Technical Authority, this Senior Engineer role will give you a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the safe integration of Combat Systems on Royal Naval Platforms. Within this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Engineer by working with a multitude of key stakeholders to ensure the newest Capability Insertion projects are taken through the engineering lifecycle and implemented on active Platforms IAW the Common Support Model. We’re charged with sponsoring the approved installation solutions and approvals involved during the design reviews, and support technical queries raised during the CI embodiment process, and post embodiment Test and Trials activities.
