WD PCU Operator CAT II

 

Location: Riyadh. Saudi Arabia

 

Grade: 7

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Job Holder is to:

 

Direct simulated aircraft manoeuvres via keyboard input and simulated radio (Receive / Transmit – R/T) communications during WD or ATC simulator training

 

Assist in the instruction of cadets on simulator equipment

 

Assist in the instruction of cadets on aircraft keyboard inputs

 

Assist in the instruction of cadets on R/T phraseology

 

Assist in preparation and testing of mission details, simulator and skills trainer exercises, quizzes and examinations

 

 Assist in the preparation and production of visual aids and student daily mission briefings

 

Assist in the instruction of subjects within their experience on WD courses

 

Assist with the production of Student Study Guides

 

Use the TMIS / LMIS system to maintain accurate, up to date, comprehensive, orderly and easily accessible training records

 

Contribute to preparation of timetables, scheduling and allocation of instructors and Simulator Support Staff

 

Contribute to the acquisition, allocation, maintenance and use of training resources including textbooks, workbooks, classrooms, laboratories, training device, and consumables

 

Provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos

 

Provide feedback to management to improve service performance and responsiveness and identify opportunities

 

Ensure compliance with SHE policy and processes and Duty of Care responsibilities

 

Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company

 

Adhere to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and performance as defined in Company policy

 

Any other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Company

 

  

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

    

WD Simulator Support Staff are to have the following qualifications and experience: 

     

Extensive experience as a Simulator Pilot Control Unit (PCU) operator in WD training

    

Knowledge and experience of WD regulations and procedures

    

Computing and keyboard skills and experience

    

Fluency in English to IELTS 6 level if non-native speaker
