Salary        £22,000

What you will be doing
As an electrical engineering graduate, you will join an exciting team who work throughout the whole product life cycle, designing and developing systems and adapting new technologies, and supporting the build, test, commissioning and in service operation of all current, new and future classes of submarine (Astute, dreadnought and SSNA [the replacement for the Astute class of submarine]).  

We also provide the opportunity to get involved in projects outside of your primary remit. We encourage you to seek a stretch project in which you’ll gain different experiences. Additionally, we encourage involvement in community projects, STEM initiatives and support groups (called employee resource groups) which all provide valuable learning and development experiences that you may not have access to in your day-to-day role. •    Power System Earth Fault Monitoring
•    There may also be the opportunity, for a select few, to be further trained and developed to deploy your skills within the nuclear reactor build, test and commissioning aspects of our business.

The breadth of activities above gives an indication of the wide array of activities carried out by the department. You should note that there is the opportunity to tailor both your Undergraduate experience and final role to the type of work that you find most enjoyable once you have experienced the different types of roles within the team.

Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Electrical Engineering
