Job Title Industrial Placement Naval Ships Software Engineer Location New Malden (London) Start Date 23rd June 2025 BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Industrial Placement programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager. Salary £23,100 We design and build a full range of naval ships from offshore patrol vessels through to giant aircraft carriers, giving customers the capability to fulfil extensive naval operations around the world. We are the only provider of complex warships and their combat managements to the UK Royal Navy’s surface fleet. Do you have what it takes to join our Naval Ships team? Why BAE Systems? What you will be doing Your work will be expected to make real contribution to addressing the engineering issues on a Naval Ship, Aircraft Carrier or Patrol Vessel and will be likely to encompass requirements evaluation and problem solving, engineering deliverable presentation. Engineering data information, meeting and briefing notes, report writing, presentation preparation, cost, schedule and risk analysis. Duties and Responsibilities Skills To be considered for this role you must be returning to university to complete your degree. As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computing or Software Engineering. |
