BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Undergraduate Programme you may be required to attend your site up to 3days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.
What you will be doing
On an Undergraduate Supply Chain Placement, over 12 months, you will be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of the Procurement Services we are involved with. Working in Procurement enables you to take up a variety of roles to help ensure that to that we deliver the right products, at the right time and at the right cost to the required quality. Your role will be varied; ranging from undertaking supplier visits to a more analytical focus of developing procurement strategy.

Specific activities may include:
• Delivering value for money through planned and skilful management, typically coordinating supplier selection.
• Subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM); contract negotiations, placement and management of all third party requirements in relevant categories / projects.
• Developing relationships with stakeholders and maintaining stakeholder maps as well as producing key reports and presentations to those same stakeholders.
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on course for achieving a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Commercial, Business Management, Economics, Engineering or Law. To be considered for this role you must be returning to University to complete your degree.
