Job Title: TFST Security Administration

Location: RAF Lossiemouth (Full-time on site)

Salary: £29, 563

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinating with the Facility Security Manager for issue, production and destruction of classified facility access pins & cards & pins
  • Controlling entry and exit to the classified information facility; including answering queries
  • Monitoring of internal CCTV
  • Conducting irregular security patrols of the classified facility
  • Processing of visitors and operation of a ‘blue’ light system
  • As directed by the Facility Security Manager, record and report any security incidents, violations and infractions. Liaise with the Governance Security Officer and/or their Deputy to ensure timely & appropriate incident management & reporting
  • Maintaining secure facility accountability (visitor logs, key issue/return logs, access card issue & destruction logs, etc).

Your skills and experiences

  • Must hold (or have the ability to attain) a Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
  • Knowledge of, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures
  • People Skills – This role involves dealing directly with employees and our customer
  • The ability to explain security concepts in a clear and friendly manner across all levels is key
  • Knowledge of, IT systems: Windows, Excel, Office, Power Point
  • Knowledge of the JSP 440 and/or GovS: 007

The Security team

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Security team as a Security Administrator, supporting the protection of classified areas and information across our operations. Working within one of two dedicated teams led by the Facility Security Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing access control, responding to alarms, and carrying out escorting duties. Each team is supported by an Information Systems Security Officer, ensuring a collaborative and well-structured approach to security management. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about security, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.

As the role is project-based, you’ll also need to be flexible and willing to travel to various sites across the UK when required.
