JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The primary job purpose will be responsible for the theoretical and practical training delivery, course development and other subject matter expert tasking as required, as well as conducting classroom instruction to meet the customer’s requirements and BAESAI Academy objectives.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The post holder is responsible for:
· To teach the theoretical and practical delivery of BAESAI training products for mechanical, electrical, avionics and other technical subjects.
· To deliver the practical components of the course by means of demonstration and direction of students in practical exercises and utilize such training aids as available to maximise efficiency of training.
· Produce training support materials – including curriculum, training objectives, syllabuses, course plans, and assessment and evaluation methods – to satisfy customers’ training requirements.
· Conduct cadet assessment and evaluation exercises and implement remedial action as required.
· Location, striving to ensure that BAESAI meets customer satisfaction key performance indicators (KPI) and targets.
· Development and innovation of training products and material to ensure BAESAI remains at the forefront of training for the industry.
· The ongoing update, maintenance and editing of the BAESAI examination database.
· Approved Examiner and Invigilator duties as required by the BAESAI Training Manager and subject to successful qualification for the role.
· To counsel students with regard to their academic performance or behaviour as required.
· To maintain classroom procedures as published.
· Well-motivated, adaptable and flexible to operate in a highly complex technical environment, where the integration of a wide range of skills is necessary to ensure the prime objectives are met, with the minimum of supervision
· Ensure the general welfare of students in assigned areas during training activities and monitor their performance so that each individual achieves maximum progress towards the training objectives
· Support, co-operate with, and work with others in order to achieve common goals and objectives
· Adopt a pro-active and flexible approach to duties of the role and the needs of the wider business
· Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as deemed appropriate by the business
· Subscribe to and actively participate in the PDR process
· Any other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the business.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
· Apprenticeship GACA/C&G/EASA 147 License Holder or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance.
· Extensive experience in Aviation field in an Aerospace Maintenance Organisation environment.
· Extensive experience working as approved instructor supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training
· Instructional Techniques qualification
· English Language skills with IELTS 6.0 or higher achieved
· Good interpersonal skills to be able to teach theoretical and practical and aviation knowledge across the range of cultures, status, intellect and academic ability.
· Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Desirable
· Possess extensive knowledge of C&G and/or EASA regulatory clause compliance requirements and associated privileges.
· Preferably, have additional skills rating or specialist. Such as: Structure, Composite, Welding, Paint or NDT.
· Preferably, have an understanding of large companies’ practices and procedures.
· Ability to multitask, verbal communication, and written communication skills
