Job title: Systems Engineer

Salary: £44,000
What you’ll be doing:
· Develop an understanding of existing commercial and military systems
· To support the creative creation of brand-new and inventive goods, you will stay up to date on developing technologies appropriate for secure tactical communications
· You will be proficient at understanding and comprehending customer requirements
· You will be knowledgeable about creating high-level, intricate system designs
· Experience producing technological paperwork and architectural drawings
· Provide support to product lifecycles, including verification, validation, and product compliance
· Provide support to planning and estimating
Your skills and experiences:
Essential Skills:
· Track record of Enterprise, Project, System or Product level designs
· An understanding of Requirements Engineering and Management techniques
· Experience using data communication and networking technologies to create solutions
· Strong experience of COTS integration and “Systems of Systems” design
· Good understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle and configuration management
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
· Good technical writing ability
Desirable Skills:
· Comms Links including Data Links, 3G, 4G, 5G, Satellite, Terrestrial and Bearers
· Familiarity of networking products and capabilities such as those produced by Cisco
· An understanding of Design Certification and Product Safety Processes
· A background in communications (voice, data, and radio products)
· Familiarity with Export control and ITAR rules and regulation
· Knowledge of product approval process to meet CE, UKCA & other design certification
· Ideally degree qualification in related (STEM) subject or equivalent experience
· Security clearance or willingness to obtain
