Job Title: Systems Development Engineer

Salary: £47,683 – £52,426 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maturing the AMMS architecture
- Analysing and generating model elements that support the maturation of the AMMS architecture and it’s components
- Supervising and supporting junior team members
- Assisting with the creation of Engineering documents that form part of the AMMS product and it’s exploitations
- Responding to both internal and external customer queries regarding the AMMS architecture
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Working knowledge of UML / SysML
- A working knowledge of the engineering lifecycle
- Specific / general Mission System domain knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in Object Oriented design and Model Based engineering tools and techniques
- Experience of Agile methodology supported by the Atlassian toolset
Desirable:
- Experience of using Cameo MBSE tool or similar

The Systems Development team:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the Systems Development Team. Working in this role you will design and develop the architecture and specification of the Autonomous Mission Management System for the next generation of military platforms.
This will involve the use of model based system design techniques to develop the overall architecture including the definition of the AMMS architecture, the functional components and developing the system specifications. To achieve these tasks both the UML and SysML notations will be used, knowledge of which would be beneficial, however training can be provided as needed.
You will also have the opportunity to assist in the development of Agile processes used in the team, gain exposure to both safety and security related work and collaborate with other teams across the wider Mission Systems & Software business.
