Job Title:  Supply Planning Specialist

Location:  – Samlesbury – Mon-Fri – 4 days working in the office

Salary: £54,793 + Dependent upon skills and experience  

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of MRP, RCCP and CRP processes within the manufacturing business

• Provide training, support, and guidance to manufacturing teams responsible for the practical execution of supply-side activities

• Continuously assess and improve processes based on operational feedback, performance metrics, and changing business requirements

• Serve as the subject matter expert for supply-side planning processes, including MRP, RCCP and CRP

• Collaborate closely with the demand-side specialist to ensure seamless ERP integration between demand and supply planning

• Act as the liaison with Operations and Procurement to promote and maintain best practice supply-side planning techniques and behaviours

• Utilise your expertise in ERP systems (Infor LN 10.4 or similar) to ensure effective data integrity, process integration, and comprehensive reporting to support governance

• Leverage MRPII principles to align supply planning strategically with organisational objectives and operational realities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Stem Degree education equivalent or APICS (CPIM) qualified / working towards

• End to end production planning experience using MRP systems within a Manufacturing environment

• Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognized Logistics/Supply Chain institution at the appropriate level, or be willing to work towards it e.g. for grade F positions this means having a level 4 qualification such as CSCA or ASCM certificate and CILT Membership at Member level

• Experience implementing Production Planning processes within a manufacturing environment

• Proven expertise in ERP systems

Desirable:

• Experience with Infor LN, oracle or SAP

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools

The Production, Planning and Control Team

The Supply Planning Specialist is responsible for implementing and optimising the processes related to Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP).  Acting as the supply-side expert within the production planning and control (PP&C) function, you will liaise closely with manufacturing teams responsible for executing these processes. You will also collaborate extensively with a counterpart who specialises in demand-side activities such as S&OP, Demand Management, and Master Production Scheduling (MPS).
