Job Description:

Step into a role where your leadership directly shapes one of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile defence programmes. We’re looking for an exceptional supply‑chain professional to lead a high‑performing team within our Strategic Outsourcing function, driving delivery across strategic manufacturing and jigs for the Dreadnought programme.

Core duties:

• Management of supplier agreements, ensuring compliance and performance
• Leading new tenders and contract updates with a focus on cost‑optimisation priorities
• Reporting and reviewing procurement KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
• Providing clear direction, coaching, and day‑to‑day leadership of a team of supply chain professionals
• embedding strong governance and efficient processes

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience managing procurement activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Understanding of how procurement activities connect to wider business processes
• Leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement
• Hands‑on experience managing supplier contracts, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions
• Considerable Negotiation skills
• Flexibility for monthly UK travel

The Strategic Outsourcing Team:
