Job title: Software Integration Engineer

Location: New Malden. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £ 47,000 (depending on skills and experience) 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out the technical aspects of SI Infrastructure Integration activities through the application of engineering processes and be involved with the hands-on SI integration and build processes.
  • Managing defects and ensuring progression to fix/closure
  • Assist in development of in-house tools to support integration activities
  • Be involved with the SI Target Hardware and update processes and procedures for its use and management
  • Ensure adherence to project related Security, Export, Safety, Health and Environment processes

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in a software engineering background. You’ll have experience with many of the following:
  • Integration and delivery of complex systems
  • Software development and integration experience
  • System experience – COTS hardware technology, Windows, VMWare

Desirable:

  • Experience within a Naval Combat Systems Development Environment across multiple lifecycle phases

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.

Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.

Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered

The Shared Infrastructure (SI) Integration team:

As a Software Integration Engineer you will be as a Shared Infrastructure (SI) Integration Engineer carrying out day-to-day hands on activities on the target system and leading a small team within the wider SI Integration Team.  To undertake a defined range of SI related, systems engineering activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements under the direction of the SI Work Package Manager and Integration Team Technical Specialist.
